Gloria Jean's Co-Founder Joins Achievers Group

Peter Irvine has spent the last 11 ( with his partner, Nabi Saleh) years building Gloria Jean’s Coffee into one of the world’s most successful franchises and now expanding Internationally. He is now turning his attention to helping other businesses achieve this success.

Gloria Jean’s Australian Co-Founder Peter Irvine has joined Tony Gattari at Achievers Group, having stepped back from his day-to-day duties with the coffee giant.

“Following 33 years in advertising and 11 years with Gloria Jean’s, it is time for my next challenge, which is helping other business owners,” said Peter Irvine.

“I am still a shareholder in Gloria Jean’s, and still sit on the board, but we had a succession plan in place which has allowed me to step back from the day to day running of the company,” he explained.

Gloria Jean’s opened their first Australian coffee house in 1996, and now has more than 390 stores in Australia, and more than 700 coffee houses in 30 countries worldwide.

“Having someone of the calibre of Peter Irvine joining Achievers Group is a massive boost for business owners. Someone with his experience and gifting would be an asset to any business,” said Tony Gattari, owner and Managing Director of Achievers Group.

Like any franchise, the success of Gloria Jean’s was in the systemisation and replication of the concept, something many business owners overlook when attempting to franchise.

“A lot of business owners think they will franchise their business to generate more money, but they need to ask themselves if their business is suitable for franchising and if they are personally suitable, and will it ever be?” Peter Irvine questioned.

“They might think their business is profitable, but they actually have nothing to deliver. There is a lot involved and I plan to help people realise this, and get their business to a stage where it can be successfully franchised,” he added.

Peter Irvine is specialising in Franchise Solutions for businesses and is available as a keynote speaker.
