The Only Thing We Have to Fear, Is Fear Itself

 

 

Imagine if a politician says this;

 

 

“I promise to eradicate all tolls on highways in the first year in office. And if I don’t, I’ll will step down and call an election so that you can vote me and my party out of office”.

 

 

I say imagine, because no politician would ever promise this. Well actually some have promised this, but they have never backed it up with a guarantee. Business owners are a lot like politicians in that they do not put their neck on the line, and back up what they say. This fear is what holds your business back, because people are not buying from you as you cannot support your claim.

 

Most business owners are frightened of guarantees, because they believe that customers will rip them off.  Don’t mistake the forest from the trees. Yes, there will be people who will rip you off, but in truth not many people really do this, unless you are in the business of organised crime! The truth is most guarantees are never taken advantage of, even when the customer is dissatisfied because generally people are too lazy to evoke the guarantee, or they are too scared to say to you that they are not happy with your product or service.

 

Below is the list of requirements that you must fulfill in order to produce a powerful guarantee;

 

  • It’s all about understanding what makes the customer tick, and then absolutely guaranteeing to give them that.

  • If you don’t feel they have received what you promised they should get some form of compensation. When people feel as though they have nothing to lose, they are more than likely to buy or take action. Most action is delayed forever simply because people are afraid of what will happen if they make a mistake

  • Imagine if every customer says “Well I can’t lose with these guys I’ll buy it and see how it works”.
